Cash while travelling: using ATMs

Cash withdrawals work only on cards with ATM support. Check this on the card page before you travel.

Limits

Every ATM-enabled card has per-transaction, daily and monthly limits. They are the same in any country.

ATM fees

On top of the Tuckpay fee, the ATM owner may charge its own — it is shown on screen before you confirm.

If the ATM offers to charge in your card currency, choosing the local currency and letting the issuing bank convert is usually cheaper.

If a withdrawal fails

1. Check the balance including fees.
2. Make sure the per-transaction and daily limits are not exceeded.
3. Do not retry immediately — repeated declines trigger the bank's risk protection.
4. Contact support.

Before you travel

• top the card up in advance;
• check the list of restricted countries;
• add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay as a backup.
